The Signs And Symbols of  Eternity

Awakening to the Sunlit Spirit's luminous effulgence,
                  Realisation dawns amid Nature's manifestations:---
The evergreen tree-tops swinging in the cool -breeze,
       Spying in awe at the blossoming beauty of  newly -woken -up buds!
Spotting the radiant butterflies, in trance of  blissful silence...
Acutely aware of the reverberating 'Naad'- sounds of the thunder clouds
           which can drown the delights of chirping avians around !
Human- borders of  three-dimensional objects metamorphose,
           Expanding into the vast Ethereal Space or Infinity.....
Can anybody ever wonder how gravity defines the laws of Consciousness ?
              One moment of Eternity i am  here in the Lotus heart's mystery cave,
The other moments  of  experiential infinity  via mobile cell
       can transport your voice in to another's  heart  of  limitless space !
How can, one wonders,  the camera snaps your image within seconds ?
         Amazingly  copying the rainbow colors up in the sky!
Then why not believe in the Super-Transcendant who  creates, 
                perseveres , transforms all  varieties of  living -'species',
Until all questions stop to hear/ listen/ see/ look up:---
with wide-eyed  awe, adoration, quietly absorbing the trance of Eternal's gaze !!!

The Art and Science of Education !!!

The following blog -article is based upon the writings/ essays/ comments by The Mother ,who started the Sri Aurobindo Ashram School, way back in the 1930s:-
The Education of a child begins right from the conception of the birth, by her/his parents, and especially by the child's mother, who nurtures, nourishes, cares ,protects against all odds  of Nature. ! And ,when the mother holds the highest spiritual aspirations, to bring about the best possible circumstances for the birth of her child , to create around herself the best environment of beauty ( aesthetics) and a balanced ( ZEN?) harmony, so that the child may inherit the best possible qualities, virtues and divine blessings !!! We can infer this from the human-birth of the divine incarnations of Indian Avatars Ram and Krishn and even Ganesh !!!
 Sri Aurobindo also commented in his essays on Education: about such divine purpose of  souls who are born with a divine plan or  intention in this world:-
Every child is an Artist, a dreamer who perceives beyond human images, forms and shapes ! And we should be able to provide such tools, kits, materials for his/her imagination to create beauty and harmony out of the stuff of earth & Nature , so that the light of aesthetic delight can manifest without obscuring the human-vision!!!
Every child is a Scientist, with an insatiable  quest or  faculty of inquiry in the world of  physical matter...to know the why or how of  things in relation to human functionality....All we need to do is to provide such instruments of learning, to develop the faculties of observation, enquiry, hypothesis, experimentation, analysis, exploration of possibilities to apply the theories in practical goals of  human life with a diviner insight !!!

Every child is a ( born) Metaphysical thinker who can be led to believe in the existence of  God, a Supreme  Reality beyond the mortal birth and death in this Earth...All we need to provide is the Faith and the normal conditions ...that lead to spirit of supra-rational-enquiry , a balanced or deep sense of  righteous, moral, ethical  references and foundation, that connects our SElf, relations of life towards a gradual & deeper understanding or acceptance  of  :-   our  own higher or divine Self / Soul and the world around in which we exist, and can live with faith or belief in  higher divine goals or aims !!! 

The real or true Art of Living must include the love of  Divine Truth, Knowledge, Beauty, and Scientific temper, in a Unified , harmonious living  with  Nature  or the  Earth ...as many "Guru-guides, personal-mentors, God-preachers, Saints have set by their own examples to their  'disciples/ shishya/ followers...converting even the so-called bad-sinners, dacoits, and murderers...thus healing  with the compassionate  religious or the spiritual teachings ... according to the inner calling of  aspirants,  across the barriers of cultural differences, customs, & traditions of  family or social communities.

The Mother inspires with her simple message that :- "To Love to learn is the most precious gift that one can give to a child...to love to learn in all circumstances of life; in every situation, or moment, and always 'open' with receptivity to'divine' insights or aspirations of  our soul  !!!"

Nutrition Education

Dear Readers:--The following BLOG is inspired by  Nutrition Education guidelines given by The NUTRILITE HEALTH  INSTITUTE, U.S.A.

Most often asked questions on Human Health center around our daily intake of Diet:---

 Today's busy lifestyles among Urban population who lead a hectic pace full of meeting professional  emergencies ...leaves little room for enjoying the Balanced Meals in peace and Harmony...this also leads to eating out of tiffin boxes in odd hours, or skipping wholesome meals in exchange of tea/coffee plus snacks...

 Thus , to make up for the deficiency of  essential nutrients in daily diet, and to have balance of Optimum nutrition level...leads us towards healthier life energy ! " In the Sri Aurobindo Centre, Delhi, some Sadhaks organise The Study Circle :-they do readings and discussion of the basic ideas of Indian Thought from authentic sources, thereby giving a glimpse of the inner spiritual reality , as given by the writings & various disciplines of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo..." ( fact read in AHANA newsletter 2001year ? article  by Anil Vidyalankar )

Since The beginning of the Age of RAMAYANA and MAHABHARAT,, some great spiritual rishis and seers  such as  Brahmarshi  Sage Vashishtha and Sage Vyasa evolved , enlightened beyond the Time- Space Continuum  to manifest the Eternal Truths,reflecting, embodying , disseminating, sharing the Ancient wisdom of The Vedas...into the very core of language, thought, philosophy ( अध्यात्म) and Life- Sciences as an Integral and inseparable part of the sublime manifestations of  Satya in the forms of Rita, experienced as सत-चित - आनंद !!!*

In the words of Sri Aurobindo : " The whole universe is a manifestation of  Satya The Truth, in the forms of  Rita, the Primal Energy ....परा-शक्ति  या आद्या-शक्ति  ...!!! The Absolute manifests itself in two terms, a Being and a Becoming. The Being is a fundamental Reality; the Becoming is an effectual reality, which becomes the dynamic power and results, a creative energy and working out of the Being...."

Maharishi- Aurobindo's yogic-sadhana is also reflected in His epic -mantric -poetry SAVITRI : in which He gives to Humanity the  Symbolic -Visions of a greater Humanity aspiring for  Divine Life upon this Earth.:- one can visualise  or experience the Sun-lit Truth-Light visions- " I saw the Omnipotent's flaming pioneers come crowding down amber stairs of birth,  I saw  them cross the twilight of an Age, The sun-eyed children of a marvellous Dawn....Their tread one day shall change the suffering s of this Earth, And justify the light on Nature's face...."*

ps : The above extracts have been inspired/  from the books bought from the SHABDA & VAK bookstore of Sri Aurobindo Ashram. This blog is an attempt to Integrate personal, subjective & objective experiences as also gathered from the workshops  attended  in The GNOSTIC CENTRE, Bijwasan.!!!*( years 1997-98)

This blog is just another - work ; to cleanse, purify & enlighten soul's intellectual  faculties so that  my family & -friends also receive Knowledge -light & grace of The Divine Mother , including even from my parents' Guru -Ashram in Rishikesh- Tehri-Garhwal, :- The Vashishtha Gufa: where Sage/ Swami Purushottamananda meditated/  did yogic-sadhana to realise Para brahma consciousness....!!!* Upto this day, meditations and yagya- havan-home are performed by parents' ashram devotees & sanyasins , who illumine, enlighten many aspiring souls on the religious & spiritual path of Self-realisations....!!!*

These words of wisdom in no way undermines my experiences of devotional bhakti & sudarshan kriya learnt in the ashram of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar of  ART OF LIVING organisation ( years 1999/ 2000).

The Earth's Eternal Roots

The Banyan Tree stands tall above the earth's gravitational force,
Symbolizing ancient values of steadfastness, faith and endurance,
Growing throughout the seasons of spring, summers, autumn and winters;
Bearing  Nature's spirits of winds , scorching heat, and flooding rainshowers !
Yet holding on within , and underneath soil:- flowers, leaves, seeds :-
Above heavenwards spreading its branches of Eternal Immortality!
Just like the seeker of soul in daily life longs for sustenance,
Pursuing sunlit path of nurturing , nourishing, and rejuvenating,
Ascending to the heights of  Divine peace and bliss,
Just like our Mother Earth creates, gives birth, preserves,
With invocations of Hiranyagarbha , mating & uniting souls,
Whosoever Aspiring for divine incarnations :
Establishing kingdoms of Ram-rajya, in Satyuga,
Ordained for the collective  community's rule of  the righteous ethics,
Or : Fostering the Pandavas in their Collective spiritual strength,
Thus the banyan trees are our Ancient Symbols of living faith,
Manifesting the Mystical lights of Divine love within deep hearts of Avtaars !!!

The Ether or Akaash Element

What happens when you wake up early morning and discover in your garden: that some dewdrops are shining brightly over blossoms of roses and lilies...? Some birds are chirping gaily over tree-tops...? Some small creatures :- playing hide and seek eg;squirrels  and caterpillars? The Nature's creations reflecting awakening of the psychic elements...
This is how one can discover the Akaash Element :Ether or 'Brahm tattva' !
When one is practising some yogaasana exercises daily...one can feel that the 'akaash' element is birthed in the tiny cellular spaces of your body.
Whenever your mind is calm and you take deep breaths in a systematic manner--this replenishes Akaash element in yourself.
While inhaling what you take in is not merely air but which is called 'prana' or life-force in the Indian lore. Akaash element is right there in your being ,then.
If along with proper breathing  you learn how to take care of your garden: i.e. the green plants you have been planting with tender care so that your home may be filled with abundance of oxygenated 'prana' ! Gradually , you will discover that the 'akaash 'prana / life-force fills up your surroundings...
Therefore ,one can interpret this fact as whenever farmers tend to or take  care of plants /crops/ trees/ :-they are being  replenished with this abundance of 'prana' / Akash element sub-consciously or consciously.
Why do people love to go hill stations during summer holidays : because in hills/ mountains one can 'absorb' /experience this Akaash element abundantly...!!!
